Blue Maples is located about 45 kilometres north of Belleville, Ontario, and is near the bustling communities of Madoc, Marmora, Stirling, and Tweed. Amazingly talented and friendly people live here in Comfort Country, and the communities offer a cornucopia of interesting things to see and do!

Visitors can enjoy many events such as: the Saturday farmers' market, the Stirling Theatre Festival, the Havelock Country Jamboree, the annual Tweed Tribute to Elvis Festival, the Drum Nation Festival, the O'Hara Mill Homestead, the Marmora Mining Tour, the Classic Car Cruise Nights, The Hardy Art School, Madoc's famous Children's and Skateboard Park, the many arts and crafts shows by local artisans, and just an hour north in Bancroft, the Precious Minerals Gemboree.

Summer Hours of Operation

Blue Maples is open to the public from Thursday through to Sunday, from June to October. If necessary, special arrangements can be made for longer stays.

Special Winter Operations

We are open for the February weekend featuring the Marmora Snofest Sled Dog Races. As well, depending on the weather, we will be open for a few weeks for guests who would like to try and make maple syrup the good old-fashion way: lifting, hauling, boiling and bottling.

Harvesting maple syrup the old-fashion way is surely a labour of love; or quite possibly, an act of penance. Taps a tapping, the rhythmic sound of drip, drip, drip as the sap buckets fill has connected generations of maple syrup devotees for centuries.

Each guest takes home a bottle of the sweet liquid gold.
